The Beatles arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. A crowd estimated at three thousand greets them. It’s their first time in America.
"I know on the plane over I was thinking ‘Oh, we won’t make it’, but that’s that side of me. We knew we could wipe them out if we could just get a grip."
What an inspiring quote.

It’s Johnny’s Birthday was sung by George Harrison to the tune of Cliff Richard’s 1968 hit “Congratulations”, and recorded as a gift from Harrison to Lennon to mark the John’s 30th birthday. Now, as his 73rd birthday comes to pass, we are still celebrating the love and friendship John offered to us all, as well as offering our own love in return.
You are greatly missed, but your memory will never fade from our hearts.
