The most extraordinary band to ever be, this blog is a small, clumsy journal of the marvellous past times the artists came to experience.

So here are The Beatles - The last great band in black and white

On St. Patricks days in 1962, Rory Storm was lying on the floor hopelessly drunk as he shouted up to Paul, ‘I wanna be in the picture’. So Paul picked up his foot and Rory was as you can see, officially in the picture.

Betty immediately liked The Beatles’ humor and show - and John. She kept in touch with him through letters (and he’d send her his quirky drawings, too) and in fact also went to the movie theater with him during the band’s Hamburg stays… As she recalled, they went on one occasion to see “Dracula,” and she didn’t want to see the scary bits - so she asked John to tell her when they were over and it was safe to look again. It’s probably hardly surprising that John told her to look right when the worst bits were on the screen. ;)
